WAEC: May/June WASSCE starts Monday in the midst of expected conflict with 2019 UTME

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), started the May/June 2019 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) today.

The tests started with down to earth practices on Monday, April 8 and would finish on Friday, June 7.

This come in the midst of the normal conflicts with the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) directed by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), which is booked to initiate on Thursday, April 11.

Dissimilar to the WASSCE that is booked to traverse two months, the UTME is charged to occur inside seven days, between April 11 and 17.

Be that as it may, WASSCE applicants who are charged to take subjects like Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Animal Husbandry, Printing Craft Practice, Auto Mechanical Work, Health Education, Foods and Nutrition, Arabic and French, among others, will most likely be unable to sit for the UTME.

In excess of 25 subjects will be influenced by the conflict.
